language Week

This week was Samoan Language Week. In Room 6 we learnt a lot about Samoa and the Samoan culture. We watched Cultural Hub clips about the Samoan alphabet, animals and body parts. Did you know that the Samoan alphabet has only 17 letters? Also during reading time we did a scavenger phrases, our experts were Matila, Remy and Rosa.

Measuring in Maths



Yesterday my class and I did measuring. We made a square out of chalk and made an estimate of the size. I said we could fit 4 people in the square metre and I was right. Next we measured the classroom, it was 86 square metres. Here are some photos:

Last week my class and I went to Science in a van in the hall with Room 5,6,7,8 and 9.  There we learnt about matter and the periodic table.
